Debug.Assert is great for simple stuff, but if you need to test UI, complicated lists, XML, legacy code, or crazy looking data structures, then you need to use the open source Approval Tests library. You can test these things with lots of reflection code, or you can just use a simple, quick, and easy approval test. Works with C#, VB.NET, Java, PHP and more.
